(Lander, Wyo.) – The Lander City Council is still exploring a new regular meeting time to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules, including the public’s.
The change requires an update to city ordinance, which in turn require three readings. Currently, City Council meetings are held on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. Early in February, the council approved moving the time to 7 p.m., but last week the council changed the time to 6:30 p.m. as a compromise between allowing those who work more time to get ready to attend and being too late.
The council will have to discuss it and vote on it one more time before any change becomes official. That third reading is currently set for Tuesday, March 10. The ordinance changes proposed would also allow the council to change the time for one-off meetings as necessary.
